1) தமிழ் நமது அடையாளம், ஆங்கிலம் நமக்கான வாய்ப்பு எனப் பள்ளிக் கல்வித் துறை அமைச்சர் அன்பில் மகேஷ் பொய்யாமொழி தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

2) முதல்வர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் இன்று திருவாரூர் மாவட்டத்தை ஆய்வு செய்ய வருகை தர உள்ளார். வருகையின் போது கருணாநிதி சிலையையும் திறந்து வைக்கிறார்.

3) கடலூர் அருகே பள்ளி வாகனம் (வேன்) மீது தொடர்வண்டி மோதியதில் 3 மாணவர்கள் பலியாகினர். வாயில் காவலரின் (கேட் கீப்பர்) அலட்சியத்தால் விபத்து நேரிட்டதாகத் தகவல்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன.

3) பலியான மாணவர்களின் குடும்பங்களுக்கு தமிழக அரசு சார்பில் 5 லட்சமும், தென்னக தொடர்வண்டி நிர்வாகத்தின் சார்பில் 5 லட்சமும் வழங்கப்படும் என அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

4) இலங்கைத் தமிழர்களுக்கான 729 புதிய வீடுகளை முதல்வர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் திறந்து வைத்தார்.

5) இராணுவத்தில் உயர் விருதுகள் பெறும் அக்னி வீரர்களுக்கு நிரந்தரப் பணி வழங்கப்படும் எனப் பாதுகாப்பு அமைச்சகம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

6) பிரிக்ஸ் ஆதரவு நாடுகளுக்கு 10 சதவீதம் கூடுதல் வரி விதிக்கப்படும் என அமெரிக்க அதிபர் டொனால்ட் டிரம்ப் எச்சரித்துள்ளார்.

7) ஜப்பான் நாட்டின் கடலோரக் காவல்படை கப்பல் சென்னை வந்தடைந்தது.
