We are living in a time where environmental pollution has become a major challenge. Knowingly and unknowingly we are polluting the water, land and air in many ways. Both knowingly and unknowingly, we are passing through the polluting activities taking place right before our vision.

In this case, an institue called Health Effects has published a list of cities with the highest air pollution in the world.

Delhi, the capital of India, tops the list. We know that there have been incidents of holidays being announced in Delhi recently due to air pollution. We are also aware of cases where vehicles with odd numbers should run on one day and vehicles with even numbers on the next day.

Second in this air polluted list is Calcutta, which was the capital of the British Company rule.

All cities in India are ahead of each other in terms of air pollution.

Air pollution in Indian cities is too much for humans to breathe.

As cities continue to expand, industries and vehicles that expand in expanding cities play a major role in air pollution.

Converting cities into villages can be a good solution. However, that solution is unworkable. But not turning villages into cities is a possible solution. Urbanization trend in India can be reduced as much as possible.
