1) இந்திய கம்யூனிஸ்ட் கட்சியின் மூத்த தலைவர் இரா. நல்லகண்ணு வயது மூப்பு மற்றும் உடல்நலக்குறைவால் காலமானார். அவருக்கு வயது 101.

2) ஆசிரியர் தகுதித் தேர்வு தேர்ச்சி மதிப்பெண் 50 சதவீதத்திலிருந்து 40 சதவீதமாக மாற்றுத் திறனாளிகளுக்குக் குறைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
