1) நாளை பத்தாம் வகுப்புத் தேர்வு முடிவுகள் வெளியாகின்றன. ஏற்கனவே அறிவிக்கப்பட்டதற்கு மூன்று நாட்கள் முன்பே தேர்வு முடிவுகள் வெளியாக இருப்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

2) 9,13,036 பேர் பத்தாம் வகுப்புத் தேர்வை எழுதியுள்ளனர். இவர்களுள் 272 சிறைவாசிகளும் தேர்வை எழுதியுள்ளனர்.

3) மாணவர்கள்தான் தமிழகத்தில் கதாநாயகர்கள். அவர்கள் கதாநாயகர்கள் என்று இன்னொருவரைத் தேடி அலைய வேண்டியதில்லை எனப் பள்ளிக்கல்வித் துறை அமைச்சர் அன்பில் மகேஷ் பொய்யாமொழி தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

4) படிப்புதான் வாழ்க்கையை மாற்றக் கூடிய ஒரே திருப்புமுனை எனத் துணை முதல்வர் உதயநிதி ஸ்டாலின் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

5) உச்சநீதிமன்றத்தின் 52 ஆவது தலைமை நீதிபதியாக பி.ஆர். கவாய் பதவியேற்றார்.

6) தமிழகத்தில் தயாரிக்கப்படும் மருந்துகளின் அட்டைகளில் அவற்றின் நம்பகத் தன்மையை அறிந்து கொள்ள விரைவுத் துலங்கல் குறியீடு அச்சிடப்பட வேண்டும் என்று மாநில மருந்து கட்டுப்பாட்டு அமைப்பு தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

9) போர் பதற்றம் காரணமாக ஜம்மு காஷ்மீர் மற்றும் பஞ்சாப் மாநிலங்களின் எல்லைப் பகுதிகளில் மூடப்பட்டிருந்து பள்ளிகள், கல்லூரிகள் நேற்றிலிருந்து திறக்கப்பட்டன.
