1) வயது வந்தோருக்கான எழுத்தறிவில் தமிழகம் முதலிடத்தில் உள்ளது.

2) தமிழறிஞர் தாயம்மாள் அறவாணனுக்கு கலைஞர் கருணாநிதி செம்மொழி விருது வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

3) காஞ்சிபுரம் மாவட்டம், இருங்காட்டுக்கோட்டையில் 300 கோடி மதிப்பில் தானியங்கி இயந்திர (ரோபோ) உதிரி பாக ஆலையை முதல்வர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் திறந்து வைத்தார்.
