1) பாளையங்கோட்டை தனியார் பள்ளியில் எட்டாம் வகுப்பு மாணவர் அரிவாளால் சக மாணவரையும் ஆசிரியையும் வெட்டிய சம்பவம் தமிழகமெங்கும் அதிர்ச்சி அலைகளை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
