1) திருவாரூர் தியாகராஜர் கோயில் ஆழித் தேரோட்டம் நேற்று வெகு விமரிசையாக நடைபெற்றது. பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கான பக்தர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டு தேரை வடம் பிடித்து இழுத்தனர்.

2) விபத்துகளைத் தவிர்க்க சென்னை மாநகரப் பேருந்து ஓட்டுநர்களுக்கு தினந்தோறும் மது பரிசோதனை மேற்கொள்ளப்படுகிறது.
