1) தமிழில் மருத்துவக் கல்வியை வழங்கும் நடவடிக்கை விரைவில் மேற்கொள்ளப்படும் என சுகாதாரத் துறை அமைச்சர் மா. சுப்பிரமணியின் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

2) முதுகலை ஆசிரியர்களுக்கு மே 5 முதல் திறன் மேம்பாட்டுப் பயிற்சி வழங்கப்பட உள்ளது.

3) கலைஞர் கைவினைத் திட்டத்தைத் தமிழக முதல்வர் குன்றத்தூரில் சனிக் கிழமையன்று தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.

4) அரசு ஊழியர்கள் புத்தகங்கள் எழுதி வெளியிட இனி அனுமதி பெற தேவையில்லை எனத் தமிழக அரசு அறிவித்துள்ளது.

5) நியாய விலைக் கடைகளில் வழங்கப்படும் பொருட்களுக்கு இனி அச்சிடப்பட்ட ரசீதுகள் வழங்கப்பட உள்ளன.

6) தமிழகத்தில் எட்டு இடங்களில் வெயில் 100 டிகிரி பாரன்ஹீட்டுக்கும் அதிகமாகப் பதிவாகியது. வேலூரில் அதிகபட்சமாக 104.9 டிகிரி பாரன்ஹீட் வெப்பம் நிலவியது.

7) குலசேகரன்பட்டினத்திலிருந்து இன்னும் இரண்டு ஆண்டுகளில் ஏவூர்திகள் (ராக்கெட்டுகள்) ஏவப்படும் என இந்திய வானியல் ஆய்வு நிறுவனம் (இஸ்ரோ) தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

8) சென்னையின் முதல் குளிர்சாதன வசதி செய்யப்பட்ட புறநகர் தொடர்வண்டி போக்குவரத்து சனிக்கிழமையன்று தொடங்கப்பட்டது.
