இன்று ஆசிரியர் தினம்.

1) தேசிய கல்வி நிறுவனங்களின் தர வரிசையில் சென்னை, தொழில்நுட்ப நிறுவனம் (ஐஐடி) ஏழாம் ஆண்டாகத் தொடர்ச்சியாக முதலிடத்தைப் பிடித்துள்ளது.

2) பொதுத்தேர்வுகளில் 100 சதவீதம் தேர்ச்சி பெற்ற பள்ளிகளுக்கு செப்டம்பர் 7 இல் திருச்சி, காட்டூரில் பாராட்டு விழா நடைபெறுகிறது.

3) இந்தியாவில் அதிகம் மது அருந்துவோர் நகரங்கள் பட்டியலில் கல்கத்தா முதலிடத்தையும், புதுடெல்லி இரண்டாம் இடத்தையும், சண்டிகர் மூன்றாம் இடத்தையும் பிடித்துள்ளன.

4) ஓணம் பண்டிகையை ஒட்டி விமானக் கட்டணம் 3 மடங்கு அதிகரித்துள்ளது.

5) செப்டம்பர் 22 இலிருந்து 5 சதவீதம் மற்றும் 18 சதவீதம் ஆகிய ஈரடுக்கு சரக்கு மற்றும் சேவை வரி அமலாகிறது.

6) விரைவில் இந்தியா மற்றும் ஐரோப்பிய ஒன்றிய நாடுகளிடையே தடையற்ற வர்த்தகம் துவங்கும் என இந்தியா நம்பிக்கை தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

7) ஜம்மு காஷ்மீரில் பெய்து வரும் கனமழையால் ஏற்பட்டுள்ள வெள்ளத்தால் அங்கு இயல்பு வாழ்க்கை மிக மோசமாகப் பாதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

8) டில்லியில் யமுனை நதியில் வெள்ளம் அபாய அளவைக் கடந்து செல்கிறது.

Today is Teachers' Day.

1) The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Chennai has topped the national rankings of educational institutions for the seventh consecutive year.

2) A felicitation ceremony will be held in Trichy and Kattur on September 7 for schools that have achieved 100 percent pass rate in public examinations.

3) Kolkata has topped the list of cities that consume the most alcohol in India, followed by New Delhi and Chandigarh.

4) Airfares have increased threefold in the run-up to the Onam festival.

5) Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 5 percent and 18 percent will be implemented from September 22.
