1) நேற்று தொடங்கிய பத்தாம் வகுப்பு பொதுத் தேர்வை சுமார் 9.09 லட்சம் மாணவர்கள் எழுதினர். சுமார் 11,898 மாணவர்கள் தேர்வு எழுத வரவில்லை எனத் தகவல்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன.

2) தமிழகப் பள்ளிகளில் வரும் ஆண்டுகளில் ஆறாம் வகுப்பு முதல் செயற்கை நுண்ணறிவு தொடர்பான பாடங்களை அறிமுகப்படுத்தத் திட்டமிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

3) எரிவாயு தட்டுபாட்டால் 30 சதவீதம் மின்சார அடுப்புகளின் விற்பனை அதிகரித்துள்ளது.

4) தமிழகத்தின் கூடுதல் பொறுப்பு ஆளுநராக ராஜேந்திர விஸ்வநாத் அர்லேகர் இன்று சென்னை ராஜ்பவனில் பதவியேற்கிறார்.
